Aluminum Toxicity Part 2: Antidotes and Detox Agents
by Paul Fassa
(The Best Years in Life) All the factors mentioned in my earlier TBYIL article, “Aluminum Toxicity: Part I, Sources and Consequences” add up to potential aluminum toxicity for most of us. British research scientist and professor Dr. Christopher Exley, PhD, has focused on aluminum toxicity for most of his scientific research career.
The aluminum that's still in the earth's crust is bound with oxygen and silica, the second most abundant element in the earth's crust. After mining and processing from the most accessible ore source of aluminum, bauxite, aluminum is isolated for different manufacturing purposes.
From a bio sketch of Dr. Exley's work: “One possible function of silicon is to keep aluminium [British for aluminum) out of biology (biota) and this area of study forms a large part of Exley's research.” That's a major clue to his antidote puzzle.

Dr. Exley's Antidote for Detoxing Aluminum
As a toxic element freed from benign earthen material, man's intervention has created another monster. Dr. Exley calls the period from the initial mining of aluminum in the late 19th Century to now the aluminum age, a tongue in cheek reference to earlier ages labeled under their predominant different metal discoveries and uses.
Any element or atoms isolated from its original compound is considered a free element. There is no question that free aluminum is toxic, especially as a neurotoxin. There have been many studies proving this.
Since aluminum accrues in tissues of organs that have slow cellular turnovers and replacement times, such as bone matter, the heart, and brain, and since the blood brain barrier offers no resistance to aluminum particles, Dr. Exley focused more on detoxing the brain.
He used a liquid form of silica, which binds to aluminum naturally and neutralizes it and also penetrates the blood brain barrier easily. It's known as orthosilicic acid (H4SiO4), from ionic suspensions of oxygenated silica found in some mineral waters and sometimes referred to as soluble silica.
Dr. Exley had used a Malysian mineral water called Spritzer in his experiments with vaccinated children experiencing autism spectrum disorders (ASD). They experienced significantly positive results in a few weeks of daily consumption. He used the same mineral water for Alzheimer's disease (AD) victims with positive results as well.
Perhaps combining any one of three mineral waters high in silica combined with coconut oil would be all most Alzheimer's disease victims would need for reversing their conditions.
The three mineral water brands Dr. Exley mentioned as highest in silica are: Spritzer, Volvic, and Fiji. My personal preference due to its highest level of silica and its prominence in American food store water sections in BPA free bottles is Fiji.
Dr. Exley had this to say about the study with AD victims:
“There were two parts to our research. The first is that drinking silicon water does remove aluminum from the body. When you drink silicon-rich mineral water aluminum throughout the body is gathered up into the blood and then excreted through the urine. We now know we can use this silicon-rich “therapy” water to reduce aluminum.”
“The most interesting thing was that we did see this potential relationship between the removal of aluminum and the positive improvement in cognitive function.”
Other food sources high in silica are cucumbers, radishes, romaine lettuce, alfalfa, wheat grass, tomatoes and the herb horsetail. These will help bind and detox aluminum from bone matter and the heart and other organs.
But Dr. Exley realized that solid food silica contents don't penetrate the brain's blood-barrier very well if at all. It takes an ionic water soluble form of silica to penetrate that blood-brain barrier.
Here's Dr. Exley's talk at the 2011 Vaccine Safety Conference in Jamaica, ironically a location where Alcoa mines and produces a considerable amount of the world's aluminum.
Dr. Exley used a liter of mineral water (Spritzer) daily for 13 weeks in his Alzheimer's study to effectively stall their AD and even improve cognitive functioning in some. He also significantly improved ASD children with a liter a day in less time.
Dr. Exley recommends drinking your day's ration, one to one and a half liter of one of the three designated mineral waters, Fiji, Spritzer, or Volvic in one sitting rather than sipping throughout the day. Cheers!

Contains about 30 ppm of .9999 pure silver in de-ionized water. Silver inhibits the growth of one-celled organisms, (such as bacteria and viruses) by deactivating the organism's oxygen metabolism enzymes. In turn, this destroys its' cell membranes, stopping the replication of its' DNA.
