Best Ever Steak Marinade
Based on a five-star rated recipe from Allrecipes.com, this steak marinade may have family members agreeing that it is indeed the best ever. This marinade also works well for chicken if you add 1 teaspoon of cumin to the ingredients. Note: The healthiest choices are free-range organic grass fed beef and cage-free organic chicken.
1/3 cup soy sauce (best to use fermented organic soy sauce)
Soy-free sauce substitutes:
(As always, for the very healthiest versions of any recipe choose organic content as much as possible.)
Instructions1. Place the soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, basil, parsley, and pepper in a blender. Add hot pepper sauce and garlic, if desired. Blend on high speed for 30 seconds until thoroughly mixed.
2. Pour marinade over desired type of meat. Cover, and refrigerate for 8 to 24 hours. The longer the meat remains in the marinade, the more tender it will be. Cook meat as desired.
