Bone Drugs: The Latest Skeletons in Big Pharma's Closet

by Tony Isaacs

Bisphosphonate bone drugs have been in the news of late, and if you look outside the mainstream media you will find that the news is not good at all. Instead of a product that actually cures illness or corrects deficiencies, bisphosphonates are just another scandalous skeleton in the closet of Big Pharma. Like many other skeletons in the closet, they are no more than scam drugs created for profit which cause more harm than good.

Besides the fact that these drugs do nothing to contribute to healthy bone growth and osteoporosis prevention, they also pose grave health dangers as Byron Richards reported in Natural News:

"The most recent study released last month 'showed that 2.5 to 3 percent of patients taking bisphosphonates experienced atrial fibrillation and 1 to 2 percent experienced serious AF, including hospitalization or death. Patients taking bisphosphonates were more likely to experience AF than patients receiving placebo and up to two times more likely to experience serious AF than patients receiving placebo.' Based on the estimated number of American women taking this type of bone drug it means that, conservatively estimating, 100,000 to 200,000 women are seriously injured or killed by bisphosphonate-caused atrial fibrillation every year."

Another danger posed by the drugs is the increased risk of injury due to producing "bone growth" that is little more than swollen and brittle bone tissue. As a result, there are increasing reports of abnormal fractures and both temporary and permanent paralysis caused by the unnatural and brittle gone growth.

The author's own 80 plus year old aunt was prescribed the evil bisphosphonate drug Fosamax. She began having back pains and they kept getting worse and worse to the point that she could barely get out of bed and could only stand up with severe pain. Pain relievers only offered minimal relief as did stretching exercises. Fortunately she told me in time and I convinced her to ditch the Fosamax and she replace it with natural alternatives from the Utopia Silver Supplement Company. Her improvement was almost immediate and today she is doing fine. I am sure that only a little more time and the damage would have been permanent.

Because of the dangers of bisphosphonates, many people now believe that the most popular bisphosphonate bone drug, Fosamax, will soon become Merck's next big scandal, eclipsing even Vioxx with deaths and injuries that are likely to surpass the reported 60,000 plus deaths and untold injuries that are Vioxx's horrific legacy.

Do the Big Pharma companies really care? The people who formed the IG Farben drug cartel in Germany at the beginning of the last century whose stated goal included replacing natural and homeopathic healing and remedies with their lab created unnatural drugs? The people who still do everything in their power to suppress safe and effect competition they cannot patent and control, including using the agency that is supposed to be their watchdog but has been perverted into their jack booted enforcement arm?

No, the present generation of drug companies are showing their true colors the same as did the previous generation of drug companies and their managers - the same companies who used the same slave labor that built the infamous Auschwitz Nazi death camp to build their own sister facility, the huge IG Auschwitz medical facility. After they used that same facility to perform cruel and inhumane experiments on the same slave laborers, many ended up being sent to prison at the Nuremburg Tribunals for their crimes against humanity (though they were released in only a few years by their former business partner and then US Secretary of State Nelson Rockefeller).

Subsequent generations have shown their regards for humanity as well with distorted and falsified trials that magnify how effective their medicines are, assure us that they are safe and all the while hide their true dangers - and then continue to hide those dangers and use their FDA protection racket puppet agency to pull out all the stops to keep them on the market as long as possible while the deaths and injuries mount. And then you have the vaccination campaigns of fear and payoffs, the created conditions and billions in propaganda for items like statin drugs for controlling cholesterol and all the behavioral disorder drugs for our children, and the faulty studies against vitamins, minerals and other natural health items. When it comes to profits versus healing and humanity, profits wins hands down.

If the Vioxx model is any indication, Fosamax and the other bone drugs will be kept on the market while the billions in profits mount until finally the body count and suffering generate a public outcry too large to ignore or sweep under the rug. Then you are likely to see another long and drawn out battle like the one with Vioxx and a settlement that still leaves billions in profits for the drug companies.

Why should they care - it's only human lives and suffering, and it is abundantly clear that such concerns are not what the big drug companies are in business for.

Note to readers: For those who may be interested in the products that the author's aunt used, they are: 1) a product called Joint Care, which contains glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM, collagen and aloe vera, 2) plant derived trace minerals, 3) colloidal silver, 4) colloidal gold and 5) silica.
