Screening, Make it a Thermogram

Here are five important facts to think
about before you get your next yearly
*The people trying to convince
women they will die of breast cancer if the don’t get yearly mammograms are
oncologists, radiologists, centers offering mammography, and companies that make
mammography machines. These are the people who profit from mammograms and they
are the ones who are pushing women to get them.
*Exposure to the radiation and
breast compression of a mammogram actually causes more breast cancer than it
*Many breast tumors found on
mammograms are harmless and can be taken care of by your immune system. The
startling increase in breast cancer diagnosis coincides with the advent of
mammograms and the medicalization of tumors that would otherwise have been
handled by the immune system.
*The early detection mantra is a
lie created to make sure women are frightened enough to get annual mammograms.
In truth, it can take as long as 20 years for a breast tumor to develop to the
size detectable on a mammogram. There is no hurry.
*Whether it is detected early or
not, breast cancer will continue to kill women unless the cause of their cancer
is addressed. Only less than 25% of breast cancer cases have any genetic
component, which means 75% of the risk of breast cancer comes from such factors
as environmental, diet, hormonal imbalance or insufficiency, and stress. And
whether or not a genetic component gets switched on is also dependent on these
If you must, thermogram is much
Because women have been the
victims of so much propaganda about breast cancer screening and early detection,
it can be difficult to stop being frightened. If you feel you must continue
looking for lumps and other signs of breast cancer, the way to do it is with
A thermogram can detect tumors
and other malignant abnormalities long before they are visible on a mammogram.
Thermograms are recognized as an effective mainstream screening device, and they
are covered on most insurance plans. They are not expensive. Most cities have
a thermogram center and more are opening.
Thermography is based on the
principle that blood vessel activity in both pre-cancerous tissue and in the
area surrounding a developing breast cancer is almost always higher than in the
normal breast. Since pre-cancerous and cancerous masses are highly metabolic,
they need an abundant supply of nutrients to maintain their growth. To achieve
this, they increase circulation to their cells by sending chemical messages to
keep existing blood vessels open, recruit dormant vessels, and create new ones,
in a processes known as angiogenesis. This process results in an increased
regional surface temperature of the breast.
During thermography, highly
sensitive infrared cameras and computers are used to detect, analyze, and
produce high-resolution diagnostic images of these temperature and vascular
changes. The procedure is safe. There is no radiation and no compression of
By examining changes in
temperature and blood vessels, signs of possible cancer or pre-cancerous cell
growth can be detected ten years before they are detectable on a mammogram,
while the cellular state. Due to the high sensitivity level of thermograpy, the
temperature variations and vascular changes it is able to detect are among the
earliest signs of breast cancer or pre-cancerous state of the breast.
The ability to detect
angiogenesis, the new blood vessel creation and growth that may signal a
developing breast cancer, is not a part of mammography screening. Thermography
is a much stronger and more accurate indicator of breast cancer, so it is able
to eliminate many of the false positives of mammograms.
In addition, thermography can
detect lymphatic congestion and hormonal imbalances, as well as monitor dietary
changes and assess risk of breast cancer. This makes thermography a tool for
monitoring breast health, rather than simply a way to find disease. None of
these is a function of mammograms.
Breast thermography has been
researched for more than 30 years. A search of the U.S. National Library of
Medicine and the National Institutes of Health, also known as Pubmed, reveals
1234 studies involving breast thermography. You can use it with assurance. Is
there a thermography center near you?
