FluFoot Odor

l     Chlorophyll, the same plant compound that gives plants their green color, can also sweeten your feet. Pour two to three teaspoons liquid chlorophyll into a bucket filled with a gallon of warm water, and soak your feet for 15 minutes. Dry your feet completely afterward, and wear cotton socks which let your feet breathe.

l     Apple cider vinegar.  To eliminate foot odor, soak your feet several times a week in one-third cup of apple cider vinegar added to a small pan of warm water.

l     Tea.  The tannic acid found in tea can help eliminate foot odor. Make a pot of tea, without adding sugar or lemon, and pour it into a dishpan. Wait until the tea is no longer too hot, and then soak your feet in it for ten minutes. Soap and water should remove any stain the tea leaves on your feet.

l     Baking soda.  Sprinkle baking soda inside your shoes to absorb moisture and odor.

l     Zinc.  Get 15 to 30 milligrams of Zinc per day either alone or in a multi-vitamin. This should reduce or eliminate the odor within a week or two. The zinc may make the skin more resistant to the bacteria causing the odor. Don't take more than 30 mg. of zinc without medical supervision since high levels of zinc can interfere with the absorption of copper and can damage the immune system.

l     Shoes made with natural materials like leather breathe better than man-made materials like plastic, allowing heat to escape.

l     A light dusting with a foot powder like Tinactin twice a day can also help kill odor-causing fungus. But, don't put powder on sweaty feet - dry them first, and don't use cornstarch powder, it can create more problems.
