Headache

 General Headaches:

* Dull a tension headache by massaging a few drops of peppermint essential oil (Mentha piperita) into your temples. Peppermint works as well as 1,000 mg of acetaminophen, the main ingredient in aspirin, according to one German study. Herb experts don't know exactly how it works, but the peppermint appears to prevent your body from sending pain signals to your central nervous system.
* Mix one teaspoon finely ground cinnamon (called dalchini in India) in one teaspoon water and apply on the forehead. It is very effective in headache due to exposure to cold air.
* Lying down, in a dark room, maybe getting a 1 to 2 hour or so of sleep will virtually always make you feel better.

 Migraine Headaches:

Another is eat a handful of real ginger snap cookies. For immediate relief is take a 1 inch piece of ginger root and chew on it. It is very hot in flavor but relieves the migraine immediately I know this will help I use it daily. As an alternative, you can also purchase ginger root extract.
* Magnesium. 90 to 95% of us are deficient in magnesium and taking 250 mg or more per day (make sure you also take 500 mg of calcium through supplements or dietary items) may be just the ticket to relieve migraines.
* Hot and cold showers. Take a hot shower followed by a cold shower of five minutes each, as hot and as cold as you can stand them. While you are in the shower, think pleasant thoughts and remind yourself that everything is OK and so are you. This technique has been reported to relieve migraines in as little as 20 minute.
* Take blessed thistle, cayenne, chamomile, fennel, fenugreek, garlic, lobelia, thyme, and wood betony.
* Drink 2 tablespoons of vinegar.
* Migraine relief can be obtained from the juice of ripe grapes and is an effective home remedy. Grind fresh ripe grapes and drink without adding any water.
* Grind lemon crust and apply as a paste on the forehead. Migraine cures using this remedy has been found very effective and long lasting by many.

* For a sinus headache, eat a jalapeno pepper as soon as possible. Within minutes your sinuses should start to drain and the sinus headache should subside.
* A peppermint steam inhalation provides quick relief for sinus headaches. Peppermint acts as a decongestant, and the combination of warm steam and the essential oil is doubly effective for opening up the sinuses.
* Make a paste from dry ginger with a little water or milk, apply to the forehead for sinus relief
* Grind 10-15 Basil leaves with 4 cloves and one teaspoon dried ginger into a paste and apply to forehead for sinus cure.
