Join the Juicing Revolution for Radical Health Improvement and Weight Loss

(The Best Years in Life) It seems each or every other generation has had a juicing revolution led by one individual. Arnold Ehret, author of the Mucousless Diet may have been the first to introduce European juicing machines for juicing veggies and fruits to America during the early 20th Century.

Then a few decades later came Paul Bragg and Jack LaLanne, both championing raw food diets and juicing while promoting their juicers. But none of them proposed an extreme raw fruit and veggie juice fast for a long period to create a drastic change in health.

Now we have Joe Cross with his 2011 upbeat, award winning documentary Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead. It's available on DVD, Netflix streaming, and possibly at video rental outlets. A trailer is linked in the next section. And you can visit his website Reboot with Joe linked in the sources section below.

Joe's Amazing Story

At the age of 40, Joe was financially successful as a commodities trader who had branched into creating and investing in small start-up companies in Australia. But his health was a disaster.

He was obese, not just chubby overweight at 300 plus pounds, and was burdened with a rare autoimmune disease called chronic uticaria. Acute uticaria results in skin irritations similar to hives for a short period. Chronic uticaria is, well chronic.

So Joe had to be on an a large assortment of pharmaceutical medications daily, including the synthetic corticosteroid prednisone. Life had become a loser for him, now that he had a disease that mainstream medicine could only manage with toxic pharmaceuticals but not cure.

So he figured that the body could somehow cure itself. He knew changing his diet was key, but he realized he needed a drastic introduction into a new lifestyle. That turned out to be a juicing fast – for 60 days.

Off the shelf juices are not the cure. One needs to get used to juicing fresh organic veggies and fruits with a juicer. More on juicers later in this article.

The documentary he produced to chronicle his 60 day fast featured a road trip across America as he fasted and mingled with average middle-class Americans and conversing with him. He even managed to convert a few.

The most dramatic conversion occurred with a long distance truck driver named Phil. Phil was even worse off then Joe had the same rare disease! The details are joyfully presented in Joe's documentary. Here's the trailer.

Joe's documentary was timely for our obesity and diabetes epidemic, and it sparked a movement. Several others have put videos on youtube demonstrating the huge weight loss effects of their juice fasts.

And it's not just about weight loss. People are able get off their meds with blood pressure restored to normal, triglyceride, thyroid, and blood sugar readings also normalized. One guy lost his obesity and asthma in a 56 day raw juicing fast. Here's his story.

There are more videos from happy “rebooters”. The term reboot was coined by Joe, and you can find several by Googling 60 day juice fast – review and results -youtube. Many have achieved positive results with 10 to 30 day juicing fasts as well. However long or short the juicing fast, the excitement revolves around a powerful self-healing tool that delivers.

Juicing Tools

You can use a variety of organic vegetables with some fruit. I like to use carrots as a base with one apple and lots of greens, including celery, kale, spinach, chard, and dandelion. There are others. The choices are yours.

Juicers are not blenders. There are two basic types of juicers, centrifugal and variations of masticating juicers. Centrifugal juicers are fast and easy to use, but they have drawbacks. They're not so efficient with greens, and their action removes some nutrients and enzymes.

Masticating juicers use one or two slowly rotating augers that grind or chew the materials to extract the juice and remove the pulp. They are considered superior for maintaining nutrient levels by Dr. Mercola and Joe Cross.

I use the Omega 805 single auger masticating easy to clean juicer that comes with a 10 year warranty and cost $250. They're customer service is great. Best wishes to you with juicing.

About the author:

Paul Fassa started looking into natural health to overcome his unhealthy lifestyle. Then he developed more interest as he researched his articles for Natural News and Align Life.

He is amazed at the ignorance of natural medicine and how beneficial foods and herbs are constantly ignored or vilified in order to promote toxic foods and meds by Big Pharma, the FDA, USDA, and the AMA, what he likes to call the "Medical Mafia".
