Stress

 

Stress has become the part and parcel of life in today’s world, and excess stress is a leading cause for killer diseases such as heart ailments, high blood pressure, hypertension and even Cancer, among others.  One of the most effective stress levels is to find time each day to indulge in an activity that relaxes the mind, body and soul. It is about finding peace. Stress is the result of over exertion and over-indulgence in ones work. Thus, distracting oneself from the daily routine could work as a blessing in disguise.

 

These activities include pursuing a hobby, working out the gym, going for a jog or walk, meditating, simply listening to calm and soothing music, reading a book or just being with the family and learning about their day.  The simplest way to find relief from stress is by simply letting go of it by indulging in some or the other activity that brings peace to the mind. While there are numerous stress relieving methods, the most effective is that which suits you. The one that provides you with the peace of mind you are searching for.

 

Common Stress relief techniques:

 

l     Walking, Stretching exercises & sports activities for stress relief

l     Breathing exercises, meditation & giving time to prayer.

l     Having fun with friends, playing games or partying with old pals may help to reduce stress.

l     Doing a hobby you like or always wanted to do - e.g. painting, gardening, etc.

l     Sleeping well. Sometimes, less or improper sleep could cause stress. Treat the cause to tackle this stress.

l     Eating a balanced protein diet containing fruits and vegetable promotes good health & can help you counter effects of high stress jobs
