Stuffy Nose

Jalapeno pepper juice, chili Powder, horseradish, salt and a towel. In a small to medium sized sauce pan add 1/3 cup of jalapeno juice, two tablespoons of chili powder, a tablespoon of more of horseradish and a pinch of salt. Fill to ¾ of the way to the top of the pan with water and bring to a rolling boil. Place the pan on a pad on the table and use the towel to make a tent, then breath deeply until the steam Is gone. Should clear your sinuses and keep them clear for hours. An old “hippie” recipe. Follow with butter remedy below.l
Apple cider vinegar. Pour ½ cup of apple cider vinegar and ½ cup of water in a micro-wave safe container and microwave on high until boiling. Make a tent with the towel and breath in the steam. Nose (and eyes) will begin to run and your stuffy nose should clear shortly.l
Eucalyptus leaves. Place several leaves in a pot of water, bring to a boil and continue boiling for five minutes. Remove pot, use a towel to make a tent and breathe deeply. Smells much better that the above two remedies!l
Butter. Rub butter on the upper bridge of the nose between the eyes. Sounds strange but usually works well. Long time home remedy.l
Saline solution. Put saline solution (sterilized salt water) in a small squirt bottle, and squirt some in your nose with you head hanging over the bed, closing one nostril as you spray in the other, then alternating to the other side. Use liberally, then continue to wait with your head hanging over and breathing through your mouth. Sit up and blow your nose and you should clear the congestion and be able to breath through your nose again. Much better that using decongestants and subjecting yourself to their side-effects.
