Sweet Sticky Chicken Wings
Here is a delicious healthy recipe for chicken wings that is sure to have you and your guests coming back for seconds (and thirds and . . .). The combination of apricot jam, ginger and honey along with a healthy soy sauce* (or soy sauce substitute), garlic, a wee bit of vinegar and more makes the recipe irresistibly sweet and slightly tangy - and you can give the recipe an extra bit of kick with some cayenne pepper or hot sauce. This recipe would also be good to use on other chicken pieces, such as thighs. Be sure to make plenty - you'll need it!
(As always, The Best Years in Life recommends choosing organic content and fresh content as much as possible for the healthiest recipe. Also, wash all fruits and vegetables before cutting or adding to the recipe.)
1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together soy sauce (or soy substitute), honey,
jam, oil, vinegar, garlic, and ginger (and the cayenne pepper or Louisiana if
desired). Bring the mixture to a boil, then lower heat and let gently simmer for
10 minutes, stirring frequently.
